Brian LeCompte, M.D.
I grew up in New Iberia, Louisiana, speaking Cajun French, telling Cajun jokes, and eating boudin, gumbo and crawfish. I received my undergraduate training at the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, USL. I received my MD degree from LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. After graduation, I crossed the Sabine River and trained at the University of Texas
Medical Branch in Galveston in General Surgery and then in Plastic and Reconstructive and Maxillofacial Surgery.
It was there that I met my wife of nearly 42 years, Jean. She was a Recovery Room nurse and I was a surgery resident. I tell her often that she is the best nurse I know because she has love in her touch.
All along, I was interested in the root cause of disease and how to address those causes. Before I began my internship, I had read everything that was written about Edgar Cayce, the Sleeping Prophet, and was profoundly moved by the concept that spinal manipulation, diet, and redirection of the subtle energy of the body could eliminate disease! Edgar Cayce’s work on Diet and Health and Acid and Alkaline Balance opened research into nutrition at a time when very little to nothing about that subject was taught in medical school. I never looked back. My hunger for this type of knowledge led me to work with a very prominent functional and integrative
Physician in Alaska where I learned about ozone therapy and how the teeth sitting on every acupuncture meridian in the body could affect the health of distant organs. I learned things that were light years beyond Big Pharma medicine.
I know that God's pharmacy is better than man's pharmacy and that there is no such thing as a safe drug. I have since become an expert in Prolotherapy which is the non-surgical injection of growth stimulants and platelet-rich plasma to eliminate joint and back and neck pain. I have updated my skills to include the use of stem cells to enhance the growth of cartilage, ligaments, and tendons.
I use many IV therapies, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, photoluminescence, and other Integrative techniques. I blend my experience in both traditional and functional and integrative medicine. I have come to believe that Paracelsus was probably on to something when he said that there are no incurable diseases.
