About Erin Gaar

Erin was born and raised in Lafayette, LA. She has been a nurse for fifteen years. She began her career as an LPN of eight years working mainly in Med/Surg and long-term geriatric care specializing in wound care. She returned to school to further her career and achieve her dream of working in the ER as an RN.

While in school at LSUE to obtain her ASN, she worked as a clinical consultant helping to improve existing call center programs that assisted in decreasing patient hospitalization for chronic diseases. Upon graduation, Erin worked in the ER for almost five years and learned of her passion for triaging patients and trying to solve the causative factor to their complaints.

This led her to return to school to become a more active participant in helping patients achieve their optimal health goals. Erin Gaar obtained her MSN-FNP from Herzing University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has had an intense interest in functional medicine which led her to this career choice.

Erin lives in Church Point with her son and husband. She enjoys family time whether on vacation, camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, or any recreational outdoor activities.

In her personal time, she enjoys reading, painting, and exercising. She has a strong Christian faith and firmly believes that through God all things are possible. Without His presence, she would have never achieved her accomplishments throughout the years. Erin is an active member of the Alpha Beta Iota Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
